The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering is located in Engineering Blocks C and D (building numbers 174 and 176), near Gate 10, Grattan St, Parkville.

How to find us

Tullamarine International Airport is the gateway to the city of Melbourne for international arrivals and people arriving from the other Australian cities by air. The airport is situated to the north-west of the city centre and is about 22 kilometers from the heart of the city. You can either

• take a taxi which will cost around A$ 35.00, or
• take the SKYBUS (Tullmarine Airport - City Centre)

SKYBUS operates 24 hours a day, leaving at hourly intervals during offpeak times and at about 15 minute intervals during peak times of the day. The journey time is about 20 minutes. The rates as at August 2004 are A$13.00 for adults and A$5.00 for children 17 or under, one way. See the SKYBUS website for further details.

The University of Melbourne is situated about 1.5 kms to the north of the city centre. The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering is located next to gate 10 on Grattan Street. From the city center, take a tram or taxi to reach the University. Take tram 19 up Elizabeth Streetand get off at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, corner of Royal Parade and Grattan Street, or take any Swanston Street tram to the Womens Hospital, corner of Swanston and Grattan Streets. The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering is a short walk from either tram stop.
