Starting Uni in 2008 or beyond:

From 2008 the University will introduce a landmark educational reform known as the 'Melbourne Model'. It is designed to create an outstanding and distinctive Melbourne Experience for all students. Find out more about the Melbourne Model and what it means for Engineering here.

This means that from 2008 there will be a variety of pathways to a career in Engineering offering you the flexibility to choose a course that is right for you.

• Civil Engineering

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) (4 years)
  • Bachelor of Engineering - jointly badged program with National University of Singapore (NUS) in Civil Engineering (more information here)
  • Bachelor of Environments (Civil) (3 years) pathway into the Master of Engineering (Civil) (2 year)
  • Bachelor of Science (Civil Systems) (3 years) pathway into the Master of Engineering (Civil) (2 year)
  • Bachelor of Commerce * (3 year) pathway into the Master of Engineering (Civil) (2 year)

• Environmental Engineering

  • Bachelor of Environments (Physical Systems) (3 years) pathway into the Master of Engineering (Environmental) (2 years)
  • Bachelor of Commerce * (3 year) pathway into the Master of Engineering (Environmental) (2 year)

Note: Bachelor of Commerce students need to enrol in a specified sequence of Engineering subjects that will lead to the professional Master of Engineering
