Undergraduates: NUS joint Civil Engineering Degree
About the Joint Degree with the National University of Singapore (NUS)From 2006, our Civil Engineering students have the opportunity to join in a joint degree program with National University of Singapore. Our students will divide their time between our Department at Melbourne and NUS's Department of Civil Engineering. Students pay tuition fees at their home institution only, and the degree will be accredited in both countries. NUS is an internationally respected University, and graduates of this cross-institution program will have the advantage of being alumni of two eminent institutions - as well as having the great experience of living and studying in another country. Course plansStudents can choose one of two course plans: Plan A (5 semesters at the University of Melbourne; 3 semesters at NUS)
Plan B (4 semesters at each institution)

What would the campus experience at NUS be like?Vibrant campus life:
Campus living is also part of the NUS experience. Students can choose to live in the halls of residence or at Prince George's Park. The halls of residence build life-long friendships that are cherished by many alumni. Each hall has its own traditions and culture. Events such as the annual Rag and Flag Day and Friday night jam and hops are as integral to student life as essays. Sports & Recreation Centre Floor Ball, Pickle Ball or Sepak Takraw, anyone? Indoor facilities include an exercise gym with 23 weight machines, 5 squash courts, 1 rock-climbing gym, a dance studio, 1 competition hall and 4 multi-purpose indoor halls. Outdoor facilities include a 9-lane Olympic-sized swimming pool, an 8-lane running track, 13 tennis courts, 4 basketball courts, 2 volleyball courts and 1 sepak takraw court.
